Excel Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our clients.

As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll cycle, including calculating wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits. You will also maintain meticulous financial records and ensure compliance with relevant employment standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment to employees.
  • Calculate and process employee deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit various payroll reports as required.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of BC Employment Standards as they relate to payroll.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage 50/300.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
