Job Title: Associate Scientist I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist I to join our research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting scientific experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new assays and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and interpret scientific experiments to support the development of new molecular tests.
  • Analyze data and maintain laboratory notebooks to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols and reports related to feasibility, verification, and validation of molecular tests.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of results and collaborate with other functional groups to prioritize and manage projects.
  • Assist in the development of intellectual property and conform to applicable design control regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical difficulties and maintain general laboratory organization.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, or a related scientific field combined with at least 2 years' laboratory work experience in molecular biology or the biotechnology industry.
  • Or Bachelor's degree in biological/chemical or related scientific disciplines with no relevant experience/training preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' expertise in a variety of molecular and biochemical laboratory procedures.
  • 1+ years' knowledge of routine laboratory methods such as PCR, data analyses, specimen handling and processing, and experimental documentation.
  • 1+ years' working knowledge or experience with ISO 13485:2016 standards and FDA regulations preferred.
