Job Title: Biological Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biological Research Scientist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting experiments in plant or animal growth, heredity, and breeding, as well as conducting molecular or biochemical studies and experiments in genetic expression, gene manipulation, and recombinant DNA technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
  • Conduct research into the structure, function, ecology, biotechnology, and genetics of micro-organisms, including bacteria, fungi, protozoans, and algae.
  • Prepare research papers, educational texts, or articles.
  • Conduct literature reviews.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Urban area work setting.
  • Hospital/health care establishment/health institution work setting.
