Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Tj's Pizza Moosomin. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, including take-out food, to a high standard.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and expired items are removed.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as required.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
