About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team at Tj's Pizza Moosomin. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package take-out food for our customers
  • Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Operate manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for use in food preparation
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role
  • Experience is an asset, but not necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
