Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning and Technical Services Coordinator to join our team at Newmont Corporation. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for delivering realistic and reliable mining plans, managing production geology and mine engineering activities, and ensuring safe work methods and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mine planning strategies to optimize production and minimize costs
  • Manage and coordinate geological and engineering activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of mine plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution
  • Provide technical guidance and support to mine operations teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of mining activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or equivalent discipline
  • 10-15 years of experience in mine engineering, mine operations, and/or mine geology, preferably in underground mining environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role with exposure to senior supervisory roles and duties
  • Excellent knowledge of mine planning, geology, and engineering principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
