Job Summary

As a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic at Newmont, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your tasks will include adjusting equipment, repairing or replacing defective parts, and testing repaired equipment for proper performance. Additionally, you will perform repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments and working tools.

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Service attachments and working tools

Credentials

- Automotive Service Licence (310S)
- Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T)

Experience and Specialization

- Diesel engine repair specialization
- Powered equipment repair specialization
- Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization

Additional Information
