Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating communication, providing analysis, and documenting all aspects of projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of team dynamics, business objectives, and project limitations to ensure successful project execution. The Project Coordinator will undertake Project Management duties for various initiatives as assigned by the Manager of Innovation: Analytics & Projects.

Emphasizing project management, the individual will coordinate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects that align with our vision, meet customer expectations, and maintain high-quality standards. Utilizing a customer-centric approach, the Project Coordinator will implement Design Thinking and Agile methodologies in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination (80%): Support the entire lifecycle of specific projects, from strategic planning to tactical execution. Develop and manage project schedules, communicate timelines, and follow up on outstanding tasks. Manage risks and escalate issues as necessary. Schedule and facilitate meetings, document discussions, and ensure timely follow-up on action items. Assist in creating Project Charters, defining goals, objectives, risks, and deliverables. Monitor project resources and team efforts, ensuring effective delivery and quality control. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvement areas.
  • Process Improvement & Implementation (15%): Apply process improvement methodologies to enhance initiatives. Prepare documentation, including presentations and process models, and assist in implementing new processes with stakeholders.
  • Continuous Innovation and Skill Development (5%): Focus on ongoing skill development in areas such as Change Management, Project Management, and Process Standardization.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in project management and process development is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of transportation or interest in network optimization is beneficial
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and effective communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
