About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Agricultural Operations Manager. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement sustainable agricultural practices, including crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology, and cover crops.
    • Coordinate planting and cultivating activities, including greenhouse cleaning and maintenance.
    • Manage feed inventory and oversee the activities of clearing the fields.
  • Animal Care and Management
    • Develop and guide the behavior of farm animals, including livestock and poultry.
    • Monitor animal health and administer first aid in emergency situations.
    • Raise and breed livestock and poultry.
  • Financial and Administrative Management
    • Purchase machinery, livestock, seed, feed, and other supplies.
    • Determine the amount and kinds of crops to be grown and livestock to be raised.
    • Maintain financial and production records.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
    • Train staff on sustainable agricultural practices and animal care.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Valid driver's license required.
Requirements
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Or equivalent experience.
