Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Heritage Nanny Community Living and Support Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to clients with mental health issues, helping them to develop coping strategies and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs
  • Administer and coordinate various programs and services to support clients
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to address their specific requirements
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Develop and implement life skills workshops and training programs to promote client independence
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support client mental health and well-being
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community stakeholders
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a mental health support worker role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
  • Knowledge of mental health issues and treatment options
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
