Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Core Energy Recovery Solutions Inc. as a key member of our operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of health and safety within the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on changing regulations and best practices.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, training, and compliance.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks to employees and the environment.
- Develop and implement health and safety training programs for employees.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of hazardous materials and waste.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of workplace violence and harassment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of workplace stress and mental health.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, environmental science, etc.).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a health and safety role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
- Ability to conduct workplace inspections and investigations.
- Ability to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
