About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Core Energy Recovery Solutions Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of health and safety within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on changing regulations and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, training, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks to employees and the environment.
  • Develop and implement health and safety training programs for employees.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of workplace violence and harassment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of workplace stress and mental health.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, environmental science, etc.).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a health and safety role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
  • Ability to conduct workplace inspections and investigations.
  • Ability to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
