Position Summary

In this role, you will work closely with the Cloud Operations Team Manager as part of an agile group of seasoned experts focused on the integration and management of a Public Cloud Infrastructure.

This team, in collaboration with colleagues from various regions, plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and excellence of our IT systems, enabling our staff to utilize Public Cloud technology effectively.

This position is ideal for individuals with advanced technical skills who are eager to expand their expertise within a multi-Cloud Ecosystem alongside industry experts.

While the primary focus will be on GCP, collaboration with peers from AWS and Azure teams will be essential to standardize cloud deployments and promote our Cloud Guiding Principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of the GCP Landing Zone.
  • Guide and support Tenants in implementing Cloud Native (GCP) solutions.
  • Adopt Infrastructure as Code principles and encourage teamwork while adhering to a DevOps mindset.
  • Manage change requests (RFCs), service requests, problem resolution, and incident management.
  • Contribute to the technical execution of significant GCP transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Uphold team standards to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop, implement, and document automation processes to enhance platform management efficiency.
  • Be available for on-call support as part of a rotation.
  • Be prepared for changes outside of standard working hours, as necessary.
  • Implement best practices in cloud computing.
  • Assist in accelerating cloud adoption across all platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with GCP or Cloud solutions, including GCP APIGEE, Big Query, and Big Data.
  • GCP certification(s) are required.
  • Familiarity with IaaS and PaaS components of GCP.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Proficiency in Agile software development and release engineering, utilizing tools like GitHub.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation within a CI/CD framework.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
  • No prior Canadian work experience is necessary, but eligibility to work in Canada is required.
