Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room department at Fort St. John Hospital. As a Perioperative Nursing Specialist, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan individualized care for patients undergoing perioperative procedures
  • Implement and evaluate nursing care plans, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the perioperative process
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • One year of recent experience in the Operating Room/Post-Anesthetic Room
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
