About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Magna. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering group, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and process excellence across our operations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Analyze and optimize equipment performance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve quality and productivity issues.
  • Design and implement mistake-proofing fixtures and devices to prevent defects.
  • Prepare and present capital project proposals to justify new equipment acquisitions.
  • Conduct Engineering Feasibility Studies to determine the viability of labor and material cost savings opportunities.
  • Initiate Process Change Notifications to implement changes to the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, including FMEA, process flow charts, and instruction sheets.
  • Facilitate quality and productivity-related meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Update measurables, presentation materials, and tracking documents for monthly Quality Operating System reviews.
  • Identify and implement labor savings opportunities wherever feasible.
  • Maintain plant layout with up-to-date product line layouts.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new production equipment and operator training to meet standards and final sign-off requirements.
  • Act as a technical contact between management and vendors.
  • Update and obtain customer approval on packaging forms for carryover programs as a result of engineering changes or customer issues.
Requirements
  • Completion of a community college diploma or certificate.
  • Minimum 2 years of related working experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of work-related experience preferred.
