Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Consultant to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our human resources team, you will provide strategic guidance and support to our management and union representatives to resolve complex HR matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources management services and advice to internal clients and stakeholders to support strategy, planning and operations.
  • Develop and implement effective human resources programs focused on labour and employee relations, recruitment and succession planning, employee development, performance management, employee engagement and recognition, human resources information management, productivity metrics, and regulatory and standards compliance.
  • Collaborate with management and union representatives to resolve complex HR matters and provide leadership advice to assigned client groups.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and legal requirements to provide current and informed advice to internal clients.

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive experience providing generalist human resources management support to management in a unionized environment, preferably in a large multi-enterprise and/or public sector organization.
  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, or in a relevant discipline combined with a post-graduate certificate in human resources management from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation with current membership in good standing or equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including a passion for customer service.
  • Ability to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province.
