About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Shell Canada. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales floor staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of sales floor staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays.
    • Ensure that the store is maintained in a clean and safe condition, and that all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the store's budget, including forecasting sales, controlling costs, and ensuring that financial targets are met.
    • Authorize payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate financial records.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
