Job Summary

The Ground Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of galleys to and from aircraft. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport galleys to and from aircraft, ensuring timely delivery and pickup
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate tracking of galleys and equipment
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless aircraft turnaround activities
  • Perform temperature testing and inspection of catering deliveries
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and quality

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada
  • Obtain a clear criminal record
  • Ability to obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances
  • Ability to obtain necessary airport vehicle operators permit
  • Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 70lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to work within the required time parameters
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
