Operating Room Nurse

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team in Ophthalmology. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing ophthalmic surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing ophthalmic surgeries
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Assess, educate, and empower patients and their families to make informed decisions about their care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Operating Room post-diploma program certificate
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Certified in Perioperative Nursing (CPNc), preferred
- 1-3 years recent Operating Room experience covering all surgical services preferred
- 1-2 years' surgical ophthalmology experience preferred
- Laser course, preferred
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
