We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Sinai Health. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop specialized technical skills related to surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform the duties of the scrub nurse, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Contribute to the patient assessment process, implementing patients' plans of care and performing nursing interventions within the RPN scope of practice.
- Collaborate with other members of the intraprofessional and interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Act as a patient advocate, promoting patient-centered care and addressing the fundamental care needs of patients and their families.
- Current RPN certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the Perioperative setting.
- A diploma or equivalent from a CNO-approved practical nursing program.
- Successful completion of RPN Operating Room program.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Experience using an electronic health records system.
