Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at CBC/Radio-Canada. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for providing specialized support to Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) in the areas of planning, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze the financial status of the workforce and provide information and advice to components of T&I on fiscal management.
  • Offer consistent support to facilitate components of T&I operations and assist managers in managing their resources in accordance with the policies of CBC/Radio-Canada.
  • Ensure the implementation of all management tools enabling managers to plan and manage their budgets effectively.
  • Complete reconciliations of data between different financial systems necessary for financial analysis.
  • Maintain authority over funds and staff and provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and guidelines for accounting and financial management of the Corporation.
  • Analyze adherence to accounting policies and practices, identify deviations, and make recommendations for changes.

Requirements:

  • University degree and a professional accounting designation - CPA.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a related field of Financial Analysis.
  • Must possess knowledge and experience in all areas of financial reporting and accounting, IFRS, financial legislation, corporate policies and procedures, and government funding issues, sufficient to oversee, complete, or assist in complex in-depth analysis of any area, and to recommend changes to policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Must have experience, training, and expertise associated with Excel or Google Sheets, and SAP, and must be familiar with and capable of using other various software packages in delivering reports and projects.
  • Superior English-language skills (spoken and written) and good knowledge of French (spoken and written).
