About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Budget Renovations Limited. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all flooring installations are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Installation Tasks
    • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered to determine the required materials and labor.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Installation Tasks
    • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth and even surface.
    • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl and hardwood.
    • Prepare and install hardwood floors, including sanding and finishing.
    • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Quality Control and Safety
    • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
    • Estimate costs and materials required for each installation.
  • Team Player
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all installations are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Language
    • Fluent in English.
  • Work Schedule
    • 30 to 35 hours per week.
