About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Budget Renovations Limited. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Selection: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required materials and equipment for each project.
  • Installation: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, hardwood floors, and vinyl decking materials.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, ensuring that all work meets our high standards.
  • Pre-Installation Testing: Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and prepare detailed plans and schedules for installation.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, removing existing floor coverings and contaminants as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
