Position Summary:
The Security Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of Security Officers across all designated areas of the facility. This role requires representing Paladin Security Group and the assigned facility effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and continuous coaching and training to the security team.
  • Ensure compliance with standing orders and daily operational activities for each shift.
  • Enforce adherence to all Paladin Security and campus security policies and procedures among site staff.
  • Develop and manage shift work schedules.
  • Verify that all Security Officers complete mandatory training requirements.
  • Encourage and recognize staff performance through commendations.
  • Administer disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring proper documentation is submitted to headquarters.
  • Manage attendance effectively.
  • Conduct security audits regularly.
  • Document and investigate security incidents and complaints thoroughly.
  • Deliver proactive and reactive security patrols.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to the Client Service Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of security experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; experience in mental health is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in a law enforcement or security program from a recognized institution is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, tact, and diplomacy are necessary.
  • At least one year of supervisory or team lead experience in security is preferred.
  • A valid Ontario Security Guard License is mandatory.
  • Proof of double Covid Vaccination is required.
  • Immunization records for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests are necessary.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification is required.
  • Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Candidates lacking these certifications may enroll in Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding, with costs covered by Paladin upon a six-month commitment to the position.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.

Certification Requirements:
COVID Double Vaccinated, proof of immunizations for TB, MMR, Varicella, Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, and a valid Ontario Security License.
