Position Overview:

As a dedicated Security Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises during your assigned shifts. Your role will involve both proactive and reactive measures to maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough security patrols and respond effectively to incidents.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills while assisting individuals in distress or requiring medical attention.
  • Maintain physical fitness to perform duties that require prolonged standing and walking.
  • Carry out a range of preventative and responsive tasks, including interior and exterior surveillance.
  • Provide escort services for staff and visitors upon request.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all activities and service calls during your shift.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or notable occurrences in a timely manner.
  • Investigate incidents, manage follow-ups, and review CCTV footage as necessary.
  • Address rule violations by warning individuals and, if needed, apprehending or removing offenders from the premises.
  • Handle various administrative tasks, including ID badge issuance, key management, and lost and found inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • A degree in fields such as Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services is advantageous.
  • Proof of double Covid Vaccination.
  • Immunization records including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
  • Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB). Candidates without these certifications may participate in Paladin's training program prior to onboarding, with costs covered by the company under a six-month commitment.
