This full-time position is vital in supporting the successful execution of our health and safety protocols across various construction projects. As part of the Wilco Group of Companies, which boasts over 40 years of expertise in managing complex construction endeavors, you will contribute to our reputation as a leader in the industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring that our safety program aligns with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and relevant provincial laws.
  2. Conducting regular site inspections to verify compliance with corporate safety standards.
  3. Participating in the onboarding process and managing safety training sessions.
  4. Fostering a positive safety culture through encouragement and teamwork.
  5. Developing Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), and Site-Specific Safety Plans.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  1. A diploma or certificate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), with designations such as National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) being advantageous.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health and safety within the construction field, particularly in heavy equipment or civil construction.
  3. A solid understanding of the OH&S Act, regulations, and industry best practices.
