Hire Engine, a prominent player in the civil construction sector throughout Western Canada for over 25 years, is in search of a Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals who are meticulous, adaptable, and value a balanced work-life environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of safety programs and documentation
- Guide and develop Operations personnel
- Carry out investigations of incidents
- Engage in preparation for emergency responses
- Deliver safety training and evaluate competency
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety advising within the construction industry
- Recognized safety certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
- Comprehensive understanding of Canadian Occupational Health and Safety legislation
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud-based safety management systems
- Hands-on experience in construction or oilfield environments
Work Environment:
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
- Travel to various field sites may be necessary
