General Manager Transit Operations

Transdev Canada is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our transit operations in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence among our team of 240 employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor management to ensure effective day-to-day operations, including maintenance, dispatch, driving, scheduling, and safety.
- Oversee all aspects of contractual services, including administrative tasks, operational management, information systems, parts procurement, and inventory control.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Manage and maintain positive working relationships with union representatives, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
- Manage budget allocations effectively and implement action plans to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Liaise with our client BC Transit to ensure we are delivering on our commitments and achieving key performance targets.
- Define training objectives and requirements for all personnel to ensure continuous skill development.
- Meet client, corporate, and contractual reporting obligations accurately and efficiently.
- Provide technical sales support and assist in developing sales leads to drive business growth.
