About the Position

The Community Initiatives and Agriculture team at Edmonton EXPO Centre is seeking a skilled Agriculture Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating agricultural programs and experiences that connect urban and rural communities and support the business of agriculture.

This is a temporary position (12-18 months) that requires extensive experience and knowledge of the agriculture industry, including small and large livestock production, animal care best practices, forage and cropping, food production, and the value-add chain. You will work closely with our team to deliver agriculture experiences at KDays, Farmfair International, and the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education in agriculture, business, or event management, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in agriculture programming. You will be a problem-solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in collaboration with our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement agricultural programs and experiences that connect urban and rural communities
  • Coordinate agriculture experiences at KDays, Farmfair International, and the Canadian Finals Rodeo
  • Work closely with our team to deliver high-quality agriculture experiences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with agriculture industry stakeholders
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to our clients and stakeholders
