About the Position

The Community Initiatives and Agriculture team at Edmonton EXPO Centre is seeking a skilled Agriculture Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating agricultural programs and experiences that connect urban and rural communities and support the business of agriculture.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of urban agriculture enthusiasts who are passionate about making a positive impact on the community. You will have the chance to develop and implement innovative agricultural programs and experiences that showcase the value of agriculture in our city.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, business, or event management, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in agriculture programming. You will be responsible for delivering agriculture experiences at KDays, Farmfair International, and supporting the Canadian Finals Rodeo. You will also be expected to positively influence decisions and outcomes by sharing your knowledge of the agriculture industry and seeking options from your network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement agricultural programs and experiences that connect urban and rural communities
  • Deliver agriculture experiences at KDays, Farmfair International, and support the Canadian Finals Rodeo
  • Share knowledge of the agriculture industry and seek options from your network to positively influence decisions and outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Initiatives and Agriculture team to develop and implement agricultural programs and experiences
