Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with the Desktop Support Engineering team on diverse tasks, including imaging, new machine setup, PC refreshes, hardware replacements, and software licensing management.
  • Manage incident response, tracking, resolution, and root cause analysis for escalated or assigned tickets.
  • Identify technical challenges and develop innovative solutions through automation and scripting.
  • Design and implement tools and scripts to streamline maintenance tasks.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business Stakeholders, Site IT, and Global IT Functions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members on technical issues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Act as the final escalation point for internal IT teams to resolve complex technical issues, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Actively participate in technology initiatives as required, contributing to the advancement of IT infrastructure and services.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with business partners and other functions, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with global IT team members to ensure consistent and high-quality IT services across all locations.
  • Continuously strive to improve all aspects of Desktop Support Engineering functions, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in gaming studio site IT or entertainment media industry environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT senior and/or leadership role, demonstrating strong management and technical skills.
  • Proven expertise in deploying, updating, optimizing, and troubleshooting Windows-based and Mac-based workstations.
  • Solid understanding of basic network protocols and hardware principles.
  • Experience with a wide range of IT tools and solutions, including helpdesk ticketing systems and ITIL practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of game consoles and their technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in automation/Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate at all levels within the organization.
  • A passion for customer support and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong project management skills, including prioritization, discipline, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Flexibility to work both remotely and on-site as needed.
