Position: Sanitation and Laundry Specialist - Part Time
Are you seeking a fulfilling role that allows you to contribute to a supportive community? At Southbridge Care Homes, we prioritize a healthy work-life balance while providing exceptional care to our residents. Our facilities are designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for both staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility by performing tasks such as:Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing floors; cleaning walls, windows, and doors; dusting, emptying waste receptacles, and rearranging furniture; managing waste disposal and recycling; and performing deep cleaning as necessary.Handle laundry duties by collecting, sorting, and treating linens according to established protocols. This includes washing, drying, and folding laundry, as well as managing personal clothing items.Monitor the operation of laundry equipment and report any issues to the Supervisor. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laundry facilities.Ensure the privacy and dignity of residents during all tasks performed.Adhere to safety and quality assurance protocols as outlined by company policies.Participate in team collaboration to assist with resident transfers and the movement of supplies and equipment.Engage in ongoing training and attend company meetings as required.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, and moving equipment.Familiarity with safety practices and procedures in a healthcare environment.Proficiency in reading and writing English, with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
