Job Summary

We are currently looking for an Automation & Programmer (Control System Specialist) to join our Exile team, based out of our Fort St. John office. As our Automation & Programming Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting, upgrading, migration, and/or installation of SCADA, PLC, and HMI Hardware for projects related to general maintenance or new construction facilities, including logic design and network configuration.
  • Application of PLC Logic and related automation networks.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support for clients and hands-on development for construction-based projects.
  • Prepare devices and I/O lists as well as construction support and commissioning assistance.
Requirements

We are seeking a Journeyman Instrument Mechanic/Electrician with extensive Automation experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • ~5-10 years of experience with Delta V and/or Allen Bradley Controls Systems.
  • Previous experience with VTScada, Rockwell Automation, Emerson Automation, Industrial Networks, and SCADA would be a strong asset.
  • ~ Post Secondary Diploma in either Instrument Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automated System Engineering Technology, or a Degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT OR P.Eng) is an asset.
  • ~ Valid Driver's license.
  • ~ Strong interpersonal skills, building positive and strong relationships with staff and clients.
  • ~ Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
  • ~ Familiarity with IT SCADA architectural standards.
  • ~ Highly proficient in Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Server 8.
