Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation & Programmer (Control Systems Specialist) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and programming, with a proven track record of troubleshooting, upgrading, and installing SCADA, PLC, and HMI hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot, upgrade, migrate, and install SCADA, PLC, and HMI hardware for projects related to general maintenance or new construction facilities, including logic design and network configuration.
  • Automation and Programming: Apply PLC logic and related automation networks, and provide ongoing maintenance support for clients and hands-on development for construction-based projects.
  • Device Preparation and Commissioning: Prepare devices and I/O lists, and provide commissioning assistance for construction-based projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Journeyman Instrument Mechanic/Electrician with extensive automation experience, and a post-secondary diploma in Instrument Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automated System Engineering Technology, or a degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT or P.Eng).
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Server 8, and familiarity with IT SCADA architectural standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to mentor junior colleagues, and exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
