Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Automation & Programming Specialist to enhance our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a self-driven attitude and a collaborative spirit, with a strong desire for personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing, upgrading, migrating, and/or installing SCADA, PLC, and HMI hardware for various projects, including both maintenance and new construction, with a focus on logic design and network configuration.
  • Implementing PLC logic and managing related automation networks.
  • Providing ongoing maintenance support for clients and engaging in hands-on development for construction-related projects.
  • Preparing device and I/O lists, along with offering construction support and commissioning assistance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Instrument Mechanic/Electrician with substantial experience in Automation.
  • 5-10 years of experience with Delta V and/or Allen Bradley Control Systems. Familiarity with VTScada, Rockwell Automation, Emerson Automation, Industrial Networks, and SCADA is highly advantageous.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Instrument Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automated System Engineering Technology, or a degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT or P.Eng) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Understanding of IT SCADA architectural standards.
  • Proficiency in Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Server 8.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • An analytical mindset with a logical approach to challenges.
