Key Responsibilities- Estimate Costs and Materials: Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for material procurement and production planning.
- Prepare Production Reports: Analyze production data and create detailed reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Recruit and Hire Workers: Source and select qualified candidates to fill production and quality control positions.
- Train and Develop Staff: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate and Schedule Activities: Plan and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure Health and Safety Regulations: Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Manage Company Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the production department, including supervising employees and managing resources.
- Requisition Materials and Equipment: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies needed to support production operations.
- Set Up Machines and Equipment: Install and configure production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Supervise Workers and Projects: Monitor employee performance and project progress, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Use CNC Machines: Operate and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality products.
- Industry Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in machinery and metal equipment products manufacturing.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, and able to work under pressure.
