Position Overview

As an Early Childhood Education Assistant at Kindertots Child Care Centre, you will play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children. This permanent position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week and proficiency in English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate children's growth to create tailored learning plans.
  • Support colleagues with daily housekeeping and meal preparation tasks.
  • Care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Design and execute childcare programs that foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Maintain and organize daycare equipment.
  • Engage children through storytelling and interactive activities.
  • Oversee and mentor staff, trainees, or volunteers.
  • Communicate children's progress and concerns to parents.
  • Assist educators in implementing developmental programs.
  • Lead engaging activities, including storytelling and music.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Help maintain accurate records for children.
  • Encourage creative expression through various art forms and play.
  • Facilitate children's learning in personal care routines.
  • Prepare snacks and organize spaces for meals and rest.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
