Claims Representative II

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Representative II to join our team at Co-operators. As a key member of our Distribution team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional client service and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and negotiate complex claims, ensuring timely and fair resolutions for our clients.
- Contribute to a client-centric culture by embedding client engagement philosophies into daily work and implementing innovative decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and government officials to ensure efficient and effective claim settlements.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files.
- Provide exceptional client service, adhering to our claims service standards.
- Coach and mentor junior claims staff, providing technical guidance and support.
- Participate in audits and training programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
- Authorize payments and reserves up to $200,000, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Three to five years of successful claims handling experience or related business experience.
- Valid AMF Claims Adjuster Certification in Personal-Lines and Commercial-Lines Damage Insurance.
- Chartered Insurance Professionals (CIP) designation is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of policy wordings, legislation, regulations, and construction practices.
- University/College Degree.
- Proficiency in French is essential for servicing and communicating with majority francophone clients.
