Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Charter Sales Executive to join our team at Skyservice. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for fostering connections with potential clients, driving outside sales achievements, and guiding the sales process from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and engage new business prospects, building effective networks with potential and previous clients and other decision makers to maximize revenue.
  • Lead Generation: Cultivate new business opportunities and develop a database of qualified leads by utilizing various strategies such as networking, marketing campaigns, and alternative sales channels.
  • Client Relationships: Discover and cultivate new qualified sales prospects and convert pre-qualified leads in several databases to new clients.
  • Market Knowledge: Anticipate demand and lack thereof in advance and adjust selling position accordingly while ensuring profitability.
  • Charter Revenue: Understands the goals for each managed owners' aircraft and provide charter revenue with these goals in mind.
  • Market Trends: Possess a well-informed, innate and timely knowledge of the charter market, its trends, competitors and client preferences to inform sales strategies.
  • Proposal Development: Prepares and presents charter quotations to the clients as required.
  • Customer Service: Handle and finalize customer inquiries and bookings for charters.
  • Record Keeping: Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up.
  • Team Collaboration: Sells in consultation with other members of the sales team and makes recommendations to prospects and clients on the various other service solutions Skyservice has to offer.
  • Proposal Presentations: Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects business problems, the effects of the problems, and the Skyservice tailored solutions to their problems.
  • Business Development: Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals related to Charter Sales, as well as other potential business leads related to fuel, managed aircraft or charter.
  • Marketing Programs: Participates and contributes to the development of marketing programs.
  • Operator and Broker Relationships: Develops business relationships with operators and brokers.
  • Company Representation: Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and acts as an ambassador of the Skyservice brand externally.
  • Availability: Candidate will be required to work some evenings and weekends along with being on call during a weekly rotation conducting charter sales.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Between 3-5 years of experience in sales.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in aviation management or a related field.
  • Aviation Charter Sales Experience: Previous experience in Aviation Charter Outside Sales is required.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas related to charter sales.
  • Business Acumen: Proficiency in generating new business and surpassing sales targets.
  • Pricing and Profitability: Complete understanding of pricing, profitability and proposal models.
  • Business Information: Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong business acumen, has a polished and professional approach.
  • Network and Relationships: Has a strong network of contacts and is comfortable working with individuals at all levels in an organization.
  • Time Management: Ability to work with little direction and under pressure, as self-starter who can multi-task and prioritize.
  • Teamwork: Works as a member of a team but will be responsible for individual results.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexible schedule with evening and weekend work as required by client engagements, trade shows, etc.
  • Communication: Able to excel in a team environment and work well with others.
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Demonstrates superior communication skills, both written and verbal, from the ability to present to group of executives to the ability to network a room during a cocktail reception.
