Lead Electrical Construction Project Manager

As the Senior Project Manager for Electrical Construction, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and achieving project objectives and milestones to ensure the successful delivery of electrical construction initiatives.
- Championing Health and Safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tracking and reporting on the progress of work, forecasts, cost management, and project timelines in alignment with Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency framework.
- Identifying potential challenges and schedule disruptions proactively and communicating them to management.
- Overseeing project quality assurance, commissioning, and the final handover process.
- Leading initiatives focused on value engineering, cost reduction, and pricing strategies.
- Analyzing critical path activities and advising the project team as necessary.
- Managing short interval planning effectively.
- Facilitating pre-job planning, including estimating turnover, kickoff meetings, subcontractor selection, material logistics, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborating with site supervision to monitor labor progress and eliminate obstacles to success.
- Guiding the project team to ensure compliance with document control, change order processes, coordination of equipment and material deliveries, site meetings, and progress documentation.
- Recognizing opportunities to provide team members with ongoing feedback, coaching, and training.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and engineers to enhance project success.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in managing electrical construction projects, with trade experience being a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in overseeing large-scale electrical commercial and institutional projects.
