As the Senior Manager of Electrical Project Operations, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and achieving project objectives and milestones to ensure the successful delivery of electrical construction initiatives.
- Championing and leading Health and Safety practices across all project phases.
- Tracking and reporting on project progress, forecasts, cost management, and schedules in alignment with Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency framework.
- Identifying potential challenges and schedule setbacks, and proactively communicating these to management.
- Overseeing project quality assurance, commissioning, and handover processes.
- Driving value engineering, cost reduction strategies, and pricing initiatives.
- Analyzing critical path activities and advising the project team accordingly.
- Managing short interval planning and ensuring effective execution.
- Leading pre-project planning, including estimates, kickoff meetings, subcontractor selection, material logistics, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborating with site supervision to monitor labor progress and eliminate obstacles to project success.
- Ensuring the project team adheres to requirements for document control, change orders, equipment coordination, site meetings, and progress documentation.
- Providing regular feedback, coaching, and training opportunities for project team members.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and engineers to enhance project success.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in managing electrical construction projects, with trade experience being a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in overseeing large-scale electrical commercial and institutional projects.
