Position OverviewJoin Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Combined Lab & Radiology Technologist (CLXT) and be part of our dedicated Clinical Laboratory team. We are seeking a skilled Combined Lab & Radiology Technologist (CLXT) to contribute to our healthcare services.
In your role as a Combined Lab & Radiology Technologist (CLXT) at VCH, you will be responsible for:
- Performing routine technical tasks, ensuring quality standards, maintaining laboratory instruments, scheduling patient appointments, and addressing daily challenges in both the radiology and laboratory departments.
- Adhering to the standards set by the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP).
Education & Experience
- Completion of a recognized program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology.
- Experience or formal training in transfusion medicine.
- Eligibility for membership with the British Columbia Society of Laboratory Science, the Canadian Society of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists, or other relevant professional organizations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and patients.
- Physical capability to perform the duties associated with this position.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Proficiency in operating relevant equipment.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
The work schedule, including days off and work locations, may vary based on operational needs and in accordance with the Collective Agreement and applicable regulations. Successful candidates may need to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
