Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a motivated and skilled Equipment Technician to join our expanding team. This role will primarily focus on servicing clients in the Greater Saskatoon Area. As a service technician at IGC, you will represent our company while interacting with clients on-site, making it essential for the ideal candidate to possess strong communication skills, both in person and digitally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional and courteous service on every call, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Install, service, and repair commercial food equipment, including coffee machines, electric and gas ovens, dishwashers, and water filtration systems, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of plumbing systems and components.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fundamentals.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Show excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, while paying attention to detail.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting skills and the capacity to work extended hours.
  • Be available for on-call service during after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience of at least one year is preferred, but we are open to training dedicated individuals.
  • Demonstrate moderate to high proficiency in computer and mobile phone usage.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to provide a driver's abstract.
  • Be capable of driving long distances as required.
  • Meet physical demands, including the ability to lift specified weights.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills (preferred)
  • Background in mechanical or electrical fields (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills (required)
  • G2 gas technician license or equivalent (required)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)
  • Clear criminal record (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
