Job Overview

The Business Development Manager is the primary point of contact between Nidec Motor Corporation and key customer accounts. The primary responsibility of this role is to secure new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing relationships with key customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with key customer accounts
  • Maintain and expand existing business relationships with customer accounts
  • Act as a liaison between customer demands and plant demands
  • Develop relationships with key customer accounts to drive future business growth
  • Resolve customer issues to their complete satisfaction
  • Develop a database of customer knowledge to inform sales strategies and meet current and future customer needs
  • Collaborate with the Sales Administrator to manage sales forecasts and resolve commercial issues with key customer accounts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge of business disciplines
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of business concepts, practices, and procedures, with the ability to work under general supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and customer focus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with accountability for actions
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources, with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
