About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at Alcop Resource Recycling Inc. as a Landscape Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, removing litter and garbage, and performing other outdoor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landscape Construction: Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and applying fertilizers.
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, cut grass, remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment, including landscape maintenance equipment.
  • Reporting: Write daily basic progress reports.
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and perform repetitive tasks. You must be able to walk, stand, and bend, and have good attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
