Computer Network Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Seascape Advisory Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Network Administration: Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Problem-Solving: Provide problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Security Measures: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
- Network Maintenance: Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintain control records, and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Network Setup: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
- Performance Optimization: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to ensure efficient network operations.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network administration and support.
- Cultural Competence: Experience working with diverse communities, including newcomers and refugees, indigenous peoples, and visible minorities.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
