Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our commercial property accounting team at Triovest. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
    • Lead by example and promote a culture of excellence and integrity within the team.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial activities.
    • Prepare and review financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, including the management of financial data and the preparation of financial reports.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including property management and asset management teams.
    • Communicate financial information and analysis to senior management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Professional accounting designation (CPA) and a post-secondary degree in a related discipline.
    • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
