CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Develop and manage a team of accounting professionals by setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations, and prepare financial reporting for stakeholders
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including treasury functions and review of invoice and payment batches
- Lead the interim and year-end financial audit activities
- Assist with external consolidated annual financial statements
Requirements:
- CPA designation required; public accounting firm experience preferred
- 5+ years post-designation experience
- Previous management experience required
- Excel, SQL, Power BI, and experience with other business intelligence tools considered an asset
- Dynamic hands-on attitude, with excellent communication skills and ability to work well across departments
- Strong attention to detail
