Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Develop and manage a team of accounting professionals by setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations, and prepare financial reporting for stakeholders
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including treasury functions and review of invoice and payment batches
  • Lead the interim and year-end financial audit activities
  • Assist with external consolidated annual financial statements

Requirements:

  • CPA designation required; public accounting firm experience preferred
  • 5+ years post-designation experience
  • Previous management experience required
  • Excel, SQL, Power BI, and experience with other business intelligence tools considered an asset
  • Dynamic hands-on attitude, with excellent communication skills and ability to work well across departments
  • Strong attention to detail
