Senior Mobile Application Developer (Android)

Position Summary

FGF Brands is in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Android Developer to enhance our innovative mobile development team. In this role, you will take charge of the design, development, and upkeep of top-tier Android applications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will define, design, and implement new functionalities, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Spearhead the architecture, design, and development of intricate Android applications.
  • Code Review: Perform code evaluations and guide junior developers to uphold high coding standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to introduce new features and enhance existing functionalities.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance applications for peak speed and scalability, addressing performance issues and rectifying bugs.
  • Testing & Debugging: Develop unit and instrumentation tests to ensure code robustness, covering edge cases, usability, and overall reliability.
  • Continuous Integration: Establish CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of Android applications.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain technical documentation for projects, ensuring clarity and comprehensibility.
  • Stay Updated: Remain informed about the latest Android SDK, tools, and best practices, applying them to enhance development processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve intricate technical challenges, ensuring the highest quality deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in Android development.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Kotlin and Java, with experience in Android SDK, Android Studio, RESTful APIs, and third-party libraries.
  • Architecture: Strong grasp of modern Android architecture components (MVVM, MVP) and familiarity with Clean Architecture.
  • Tools: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Portfolio: A robust portfolio of Android applications, ideally available on the Google Play Store.
