The Role

We are seeking a skilled Setup Technician to join our team at Mitchell Plastics. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating injection molding equipment, ensuring high-quality production and adhering to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and start up molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling as specified on the set-up master.
  • Monitor and adjust processes to ensure they are running within tolerances.
  • Notify the Production Supervisor of any processes outside of tolerances or nonconforming products.
  • Document all set-up changes and verify color feeders are set to the set-up master.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and equipment inspection.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the injection molding process and possess well-developed mechanical and technical abilities. They must be eager to learn and attend training courses, and be in good physical condition to perform tasks such as climbing into tight spaces and working at heights.

They will need to be a quality-conscious team member, dedicated to working in a neat, organized, and efficient manner. Flexibility in working hours and shifts is also required, with a willingness to work overtime when necessary.
