Team Contribution
The Global Sourcing and Contract Management team is dedicated to maximizing value from OpenText's vendor partnerships, ensuring that our business unit stakeholders have the necessary goods and services to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
You will serve as a Sourcing lead, executing projects across all facets of the sourcing process, including:

  • Category assessment
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Vendor due diligence
  • RFx process management
  • Contract negotiations
  • Vendor management

Your expertise will be crucial in shaping category strategies that meet internal business requirements across various technology domains.

Technology Categories
The categories you will focus on include, but are not limited to:

  • Software, SaaS & Subscriptions
  • Hardware
  • Maintenance and Support Services
  • Infrastructure and Datacenter/Colocation Operations
  • Network Connectivity
  • Telecommunications and Cloud Solutions

Transformation Initiatives
As a change agent, you will play a key role in our broader Sourcing & Procurement transformation initiatives, working closely with various business partners to fulfill their Technology Sourcing needs, including collaboration with Finance and Legal departments.

Continuous Improvement
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of sourcing, procurement, and accounts payable policies, strategies, and best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives, including:

  • Planning and executing the RFx process
  • Contract negotiations

Additionally, you will conduct ad-hoc data analysis and drive ongoing improvements within the Sourcing & Procurement Organization.

Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain effective communication and develop educational/training materials for global stakeholders regarding OpenText's Sourcing and Travel programs. Benchmark and identify key industry trends that impact Technology categories and other assigned products/services.

Compliance Monitoring
Monitor and report on program policy compliance, tracking non-compliant issues and implementing resolutions. Support and maintain the Global Sourcing and Contract Management repository with accurate and complete records.

Qualifications
Previous experience in procurement administration is advantageous. You should possess the ability to maintain perspective and confidence during challenging contract negotiations, tight deadlines, and client expectations. A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business/Commerce or equivalent professional experience is required. Proficiency in PC skills, including knowledge of accounting/workflow systems and MS Office, is essential.
